Local Denver Band Telemetry Introduces Space Funk Anthem ‘Slap Turtle’

telemetry

Telemetry has made quite the name for themselves in the Denver livetronica scene and is back with a new space funk anthem “Slap Turtle”. Their first of several single releases this summer, Telemetry is certainly a band to keep on your radar. They recently played on our BAS3 CAMP live stream with several other incredible artists benefitting Cervantes staff.

If you’ve never heard of Telemetry, they are a three member livetronica band based out of Denver, Colorado. A favorite in the local scene, they’ve played some major stages like Cervantes Ballroom and Sonic Bloom 2019.  The band is made up of Jeff Barlow (Bass/Synthesizer), Nic Deyo (Drums/Production), and Cameron Crumpler (Guitar/Keys/Production) – and they jam! They remind us of a combination of STS9 and Liquid Stranger vibes.

“Slap Turtle” completes the perfect balance of glitch, electronic funk, and jam. Reminiscent of electronica jam bands, there’s an extra esoteric quality that makes this song entirely unique.

Put it on during a sunset drive, an exploratory hike, or with headphones in your bedroom – any way you listen to it,  it’s sure to take you on a journey.
