420 on the Rocks: A hip-hop and cannabis celebration

April is here and with it comes the Mile High City’s favorite celebration. There is no better place to celebrate the cannabis culture than Red Rocks Amphitheater. 420 on the Rocks has been a staple in the Colorado music scene since as far back as 2013, when Slightly Stoopid and Cypress Hill co-headlined the first one, called “420 Hotbox at Red Rocks.” Since then, just about every stoner icon in music has shared the amazing venue on this special day. From Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg, to Method Man, Redman, and a slew of other cannabis-influenced artists. For some, this is the mecca for stoners across the nation. With April 20th falling on a Monday this year, AEG has decided to treat fans to two shows. 420 Eve on the Rocks will take place on Sunday, April 19th, and 420 on the Rocks will follow on Monday, April 20th.

420 Eve on the Rocks

This year’s lineup is huge as Wiz Khalifa returns for another year of headlining duties. Joining him will be 2 Chainz, Berner, The Underachievers, Chevy Woods and DJ Bonics. Kahlifa first headlined this event in 2014, when he and Snoop Dogg joined forces. Since then, he has been the headliner every year, starting in 2023. With countless smoking anthems and an image created around marijuana, it really is the perfect event for the Taylor Gang emcee. On the other hand, 2 Chainz, AKA Tity Boi, playing Red Rocks is a bit more unique. He is Fresh off a huge year in 2025 with the Larry June-assisted album Life is Beautiful and will bring another high-energy performance. With a long list of hits that span over two decades, this is a set you will want to see.

Berner is another hip-hop artist who has heavily invested in the cannabis culture and is a common performer for 4/20 celebrations. As the CEO of the multi-million-dollar cannabis company Cookies, Berner is a no-brainer for this lineup. With that in mind, can the Red Rocks crowd expect a few awesome Cookies merch and product collabs? Also, we can’t forget The Underachivers, an extremely dope hip-hop duo from NY with a psychedelic-influenced style and powerful lyricism. They are a pillar of the legendary Beast Coast group that dominated much of the early 2010s and spawned the careers of heavyweights like Joey BadA$$ and The Flatbush Zombies. Additionally, fellow Taylor Gang artist and longtime Wiz Khalifa collaborator Chevy Woods has joined the lineup.

420 on the Rocks

AEG is running it back on Monday, April 20th, with the official 420 on the Rocks Celebration. For this one, the rocks are hosting a West Coast party they’ve never seen before. Headliners Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg are set to bring their unforgettable, signature West Coast attitude and LA vibe to the mountains. Organizers recently announced Snoop as a co-headliner, adding him to the lineup for what promises to be an unforgettable night. With Snoop having limited stage appearances scheduled in 2026, this may be the only time the legend rocks a Colorado stage.

The West Coast classics don’t stop with Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg either. Bay Area legend Too Short will also hit the stage with his raunchy lyrics and unforgettable hooks. Known for hits like “Blow the Whistle” and “The Getto,” Denver is guaranteed to be on their feet and rocking for this gathering of West Coast Icons. Lastly, the Hip-hop royalty doesn’t stop there. Czarface, the critically acclaimed underground rap duo of Esoteric and Inspectah Deck ( of Wu-Tang Clan), are set to open the night and get the crowd moving.
