A skyrocketing buzz

Since the release of his debut album and first headlining tour for The Melodic Blue, Keem’s popularity has continued to grow. With co-signs from huge names like Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and Travis Scott, Keem’s ascension into hip-hop stardom has been quick. He currently sits at 1.5 million followers on Instagram. The 2021 single “Family Ties” has over 160 million views and remains a standout track in the young emcee’s discography.

Kendrick Lamar connections

When Kendrick Lamar left Top Dawg Entertainment in 2022, many fans were confused as to the rapper’s next move. But a few of the die-hard fans had already picked up on the hidden references and were aware of the inevitable reveal. He and his cousin were preparing to launch their own label, PgLang. Fast forward four years, and Keem, a second cousin to Kendrick Lamar, has released his second album under the PgLang imprint and has been selling out shows across the world. Keem is related to Lamar by blood, as Lamar’s first cousin’s son. Together, they have created the Pglang label with longtime collaborator Dave Free.

Who is opening for Baby Keem?

A rarity for most hip-hop shows, there will be no openers. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8:30 p.m. After a brief DJ set by longtime friend and collaborator Scott Bridgeway, Keem’s set will kick off promptly at 9:30 p.m. Previous setlists have ranged from older hits like “Orange Soad” and “Hooligan” to newer tracks like “Good Flirt” and “Birds & the Bees.” While original resale tickets are sold out for the Denver show, there are still some resale options available.
