Maintaining your mental health during the COVID-19 quarantine is just as important as exercising while at home. Whatever your home life situation may be – joyful, lonely, hectic, trying – we are all doing our best during these difficult times.
It’s important we take time for ourselves every day to support our mental health. Many free resources are popping up as more and more people are ordered to stay at home. Feeling a little stir-crazy? Take a few minutes for yourself to reset.
We’ve collected a few of our favorite meditations for mindfulness to support mental health during the COVID-19 quarantine:
Guided Meditation with Madi Murphy at Cosmic Revolution
We love Madi Murphy! She’s the founder of The Cosmic Revolution – we highly recommend signing up for her weekly Cosmic Rx Energy Report straight to your inbox. If you’re into astrology or want to learn more, this is a great resource.
If not, this 10 minute guided meditation for positive thinking is an awesome way to relieve some stress. We really like this pink on purple combo and this meditation was specifically created for positivity during Coronavirus stress. Ahhh…. breathe.
7 Minute Meditation on Accepting Change from the Local Mystic
This one comes from one of our own writers here at River Beats – Sierra! She’s multi-talented and the leader of the Local Mystic – an excellent holistic wellness resource. This meditation is great if you’re struggling with coming to terms with change and only have a few minutes for peace. (We see you out there moms!)
This is a challenging time for all of us and this meditation will help you dive in deeper to release some of that inner anxiety. Listen to the full meditation here.
Making Sense with Sam Harris (Podcast)
This one isn’t a meditation per se, but Sam Harris’s voice is very calming and he has a good message. This is for those of you looking to logically and rationally dive deeper into thoughts on this situation.
Harris helps explain a few things and keeps a calming head about everything. He also touches on the importance of looking inward during this time.
Sleepy Spaceship Sleep Meditation for Kids
Even if you’re not a kid, this is a nice and comforting sleep meditation. 8 hours of spacey meditation sounds to lull you to sleep. Plus a nice bedtime story about the Sleepy Spaceship!
If you’re having trouble falling asleep (or getting your kids to bed) – turn this meditation on and get cozy.
15 Minute Meditation for Anxiety
While this meditation is a few years old, it still has a ton of relevance today. Is your anxiety higher than normal? Protect your mental health during COVID-19 and give yourself 15 minutes of pure relaxation time.
This meditation can help relieve and even cure anxiety at its root level. We’re all coping with new challenges at this time – so it’s no shame to need a little extra help right now.
We hope these exercises help you find peace during this trying time.
It’s important to continually support our mental health while dealing with such an unprecedented and unexpected global pandemic.
