Why Levity’s Mission Ballroom Debut Is One of Denver’s Must-See Shows This Year

Levity Denver

This fall, Levity will roll out a completely new stage experience at Mission Ballroom.

Chicago-based electronic trio Levity are leveling up later this year. Fresh off a run of high-profile festival plays and a support slot at Red Rocks with Subtronics, the rising group has announced their most ambitious project to date: “Lasership,” an all-new stage production coming to Mission Ballroom on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22. The night before on Thursday, November 20, they’ll be in Boulder at Boulder Theater. Talk about a Colorado takeover.

Billed as a fully immersive, spaceship-inspired experience (and loaded with more lasers than the group is willing to admit publicly), Lasership marks a major milestone for Levity as they continue expanding their high-energy live show.

Levity are gearing up for performances at Lollapalooza, EDC Las Vegas, and GRiZ’s first-ever Seven Stars Festival, adding to a stacked touring schedule that already has them bouncing between cities nationwide.

Last fall, the trio dropped their debut EP Escapism Vol. 1 and promptly sold out a full North American tour: a run that cemented them as one of the most exciting acts in bass music.

What Exactly Is Lasership?

While the group is keeping the finer details under wraps, they’ve hinted that the new show will be their biggest leap yet in production and storytelling. Considering the event flyer alone teases a full-blown spacecraft blasting through a galaxy of lasers, it’s safe to assume the Mission Ballroom crowd is in for a ride.

“This is something we’ve been working on for a long time,” they shared with fans on social media. “We’re always trying to push ourselves and build shows that feel special — our goal is to bring our vision to life in a way that’ll genuinely blow your socks off.”

Meet the Minds Behind Levity

Levity in DenverThe project is made up of John Hauldren, PJ Carberry, and Josh Tarum, who collectively blend melodic bass, festival-ready energy, and a forward-thinking production style. Hauldren and Carberry launched the Levity project in 2019, with Tarum joining in 2022 — and things accelerated quickly from there. Their career exploded after clips from their 2023 Electric Forest set went viral, introducing their sound to millions of new listeners across social media.

Since then, the group has been touring nonstop, with stops this season in Omaha, Indianapolis, Kansas City, and Miami leading up to their Colorado return.
