2024 is flying by at warp speed and we’ve hit September in what feels like record time. For Sub.mission and The Black Box, the pedal is to the metal and this month is no different!
Featuring Dubstep Allstars, a Trap icon, and one of Drum & Bass’ hottest labels, The Black Box remains a constant pillar of the community driving their mantra, sound not hype. Additionally, Inside the Box makes its long-awaited return with 1985 Musicstaple, Drone!
Gold School
The first look at September’s schedule quickly reminds of us of our early discoveries in electronic music scouring the internet. From the UKF YouTube channel and the famous blue logo to the depths of SoundCloud charts and forum posts, there’s no question the impact these artists have had on the spaces they inhabit.
Creator of dubstep classics like “When I Look at You” and “Fabrication,” Emalkay returns to Denver on September 19 to flex the Black Box system to its fullest extent. This is a rare opportunity not to be overlooked!
Another iconic name and possibly one of the most impactful trap producers, UZ finds his way to The Black Box on September 13 featuring club classics as well as fresh new material. Pairing his stand-out production with his blend of classic and modern mixing techniques, he remains a constant staple over a decade later.
Homework
In contrast, torch-bearers like Drone, Klinical, & Koherent are just seeing the horizon for what is possible. Kicking off this month with the latest edition of ‘Inside the Box,’ 1985 Music mainstay Drone returns for his first headlining performance at The Black Box! Effortlessly blending Dubstep and Drum & Bass with a splash of Garage, Drone scratches the itch for a number of crowds and his ability to read the room does not go unnoticed.
One of the most anticipated shows for us on the calendar is undoubtedly the debut of Overview Music’sKlinical and Koherent, two artists we’ve been playing nonstop as of late. Their deep, at times dungeonlike production cuts like a knife, and their latest collaborative release Classics / Problems is a shining example.
For the full calendar, check below to find your flavor and grab tickets ASAP as they are flying for many of these events. Tickets are available NOW at The Black Box website. Don’t forget to stop at the bar to see their latest non-alcoholic options!
