Denzel Curry has been incredibly active lately. He is consistently releasing high-quality albums, with his most recent project being King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2.  The deluxe edition was released in November of 2024. Billed as a commercial mixtape rather than a traditional studio album, the project features heavy instrumentals and a dark, unrelenting tone.  It received critical acclaim within the hip-hop industry, further elevating Denzel Curry’s status as a talented lyricist.

Similarly, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist are experiencing significant success with their collaborative album, Alfredo 2, released in July of this year. The Alchemist is recognized as one of the industry’s most talented and prolific producers. The chemistry between him and Gibbs is evident. His willingness to collaborate with new artists helps him remain relevant in hip-hop culture and continually pushes creative boundaries. Alfredo 2 stands out as one of the best hip-hop albums released this year, and Freddie Gibbs consistently delivers high-energy performances.

The lineup doesn’t stop there; the Flatbush Zombies, the only artist returning from the original lineup, will also take the stage. Although they haven’t released a full-length studio album since 2018, the group has been busy working on solo projects and side endeavors. Erich The Architect recently released a solo album, while the group’s latest effort, titled 2 Dead Boyz, is a collaboration with Meechy Darko and Juice solely. They will premiere some tracks from this new album at this year’s Halloween on the Rocks, making it a must-see event for fans of the Beast Coast hip-hop era.
