Summer is officially here, and with it comes amazing weather and good music. The Dirty Heads will return to the Colorado Sunshine this June, bringing a packed line-up of diverse artists and feel-good sounds. Known for their unique fusion of hip-hop, reggae, and rock, this Southern California-based group has steadily risen to stardom since their origins in the early 2000s. Joined by rising hip-hop star Honestav, Satsang, and RDGLDGRN, the Southern California natives will rock Red Rocks Amphitheater on Thursday, June 25. Then head out the next day, this time without the support from Honestav, for an additional night at Dillon Amphitheater on Friday, June 26.
Recent success
The Dirty Heads consists of lead men Dustin Bushnell (Duddy B) and rapper Jared Watson (Dirty J), percussionist Jon Olazabal, drummer Matt Ochoa, and bassist Dave Foral. Over the last 10 years, the band has solidified its sound in the alternative/reggae space and continues to grow its massive following. With over 3.8 million Spotify listeners and over 100 million views on the 2017 hit “Vacation,” it’s clear that the band is locked into some rituals of success.
Dirty Heads released their ninth studio album, “7 Seas,” on June 12, 2026, via Better Noise Music. The album continues their tradition of blending reggae roots with chilled-out vibes and lyrical hip-hop verses. With lead singles “Better” and “Sound Boy Killa,” the album is a celebration of all the things that make the Dirty Heads great. From inspiring lyrics and soulful singing to overwhelming confidence and gleeful happiness,  “7 Seas” is an antidepressant in album form.
Look for them to play much of the 32-minute album in the upcoming shows.
Who’s Honestav?
Honestav, born Avery Freeman, burst onto the scene in 2024 with his hit single “I’d Rather Overdose,” currently with over 8 million views. The song was a stark reflection on his dad’s January 2024 suicide and the effect it had on him. It was a huge success and helped catapult Honestav into conversations with stars like Mod Son and Machine Gun Kelly. He quickly capitalized on this success and released his debut album, “Hara-Kiri,” in May of 2025. The album was met with a great fan reception and critical acclaim for its honesty and relatable subject matter.
Honestav will release his follow-up album, Sweet American Boy, on Friday, June 19, just one week before taking the stage at Red Rocks. This will be Honestav’s first time performing at Red Rocks, but I don’t think it will be his last.
Additional Support
Additional support will be provided by Satsang and RDGLDGRN, two independent powerhouses in the alternative music space. Drew McManus, known to most as Satsang, gained recognition through his 2016 album “The Story of You,” which continues to serve as a beacon of hope and happiness for many in the spiritual community. Since releasing that record, Satsang has experimented with more rugged genres and is drawing inspiration from country, rock, and folk soundscapes.
Opening the night will be RDGLDGRN, who is returning to Red Rocks for the first time since 2017, when they previously opened up for Dirty Heads and The Green. Comprised of band members Marcus Parham (Red), Andrei Busuioceanu (Gold), and Pierre Desrosiers (Green), RDGLDGRN has been touring and making music since 2011. Particularly known for a curated sound that blends garage rock, alternative hip-hop, and funk, this band is sure to get the opening set moving and grooving.
