Stronger Than Ever: Renée Brinkerhoff Takes Full Command of La Loma Brand

La Loma

One of Colorado’s most beloved restaurant brands is officially under new – but very familiar – leadership. As of today, longtime La Loma owner Renée Brinkerhoff is the sole exclusive owner and operator of the La Loma brand and restaurants, marking a new chapter in the storied history of the local favorite.

Brinkerhoff, along with her son William Brinkerhoff Jr., currently operates La Loma’s locations at McGregor Square in downtown Denver, Parker, and the Denver Tech Center. These restaurants will continue serving guests under the La Loma name through the family’s holding group, La Loma Restaurants, with plans for additional locations already on the horizon.

At the same time, the La Loma outposts at 1801 Broadway in downtown Denver and in Castle Rock will no longer carry the La Loma name. Those locations are operated by a separate group and will move forward independently from the brand.

A Legacy Rooted in Colorado

The Brinkerhoff family first opened La Loma in 1981, inside three historic red brick houses in Denver’s Highlands neighborhood. Known for its award-winning green chile and recipes passed down through generations, the restaurant quickly became a staple for locals and visitors alike.La Loma's famous green chile on Fajitas

Renée, who played a central role in the expansion and operations of the original Highlands location, has been instrumental in guiding La Loma into its next era. Most recently, she spearheaded the openings in Parker and the Denver Tech Center, bringing the restaurant’s signature blend of warm hospitality and traditional Mexican cuisine to new communities.

The family-run business is strengthened by a leadership team that includes Nathan Couch and Paco Romeo, who have been pivotal in maintaining La Loma’s high standards while supporting its growth.

Looking Ahead

With sole ownership now secured, Brinkerhoff and her team are focused on preserving La Loma’s legacy while expanding its reach. Guests can expect the same flavors and experiences that have defined the restaurant for more than four decades — with future growth designed to carry the brand well into the next generation of Colorado dining.
