April has arrived far faster than we expected, but The Black Box is fully prepared. Continuing on their path setting the pace with signature bookings and one-of-a-kind experiences, this month’s schedule is a sight to behold.
For their 17th Anniversary, Sub.mission booked artists we believe all have a pivotal role in the culture we love. Featuring the first event we’ve seen crash The Black Box website on ticket drop, Skream & Benga return to Denver with legendary host & MC SGT Pokes for a four-night gauntlet like we’ve never seen.
The Return
In addition to the return of two of Dubstep’s greatest, we’ll see the return of 1985 Music mainstays Monty & Visages for a rarely seen B2B and Halogenix, who received a massive welcoming party for his return in 2023. While making their way on our Releases of the Year, they’ve also become some of our favorites behind the decks.
Keeping the emphasis on Sub.mission’s core sound and style, Glume & Phossa host Electronic Tuesdays on April 2 to kick off an entire month of events celebrating the massive 17-year milestone.
For a proper 4/20 holiday, dub icon The Specialist returns to Denver for a can’t-miss showcase of the roots and sounds artists still draw inspiration from today. While he is one of the genre’s originators, The Scientist is also revered for his bodacious mixing style.
Futurama
For a look into what the future holds, Sub.mission always has its finger on the pulse. On April 12, Denver favorite parkbreezy returns to represent the all:Lo Collective with an all-star support cast. Closing out the marathon of a month, Sub.mission’s own Die By The Sword makes his headlining debut on April 30 with Wolf’d, another name we suggest you keep an eye on!
