As 2023 comes to a close, The Black Box intends to send its faithful attendees off with something to remember. After a year of milestones, debuts, and long-awaited returns, the team can step into 2024 with their heads held high.
Wrapping up the December calendar are Black Box favorites Ternion Sound, Distinct Motive, all:Lo Collective, EPOCH, and the return of Halogenix! In addition, psychedelic bass specialists Cualli, Soulacybin, and Copycatt help fill out the calendar for one last hurrah before we turn the page to January.
Viper Style
Since his last trip in 2019, Halogenix has grown exponentially in popularity with releases on Critical, 1985 Music, and his latest endeavor Gemini Music Club – a focused effort surrounding the music and the experience.
Releases like ‘PTFD,’ ‘Techy,’ and ‘Unconditional’ with GLXY have taken sound systems by storm and attendees have the opportunity to catch one or both sets on December 29 and 30. Joined with support from Monty, Hyroglifics, and incredible Denver talent, arrive early and stay late!
In addition, Black Box VIPs Ternion Sound make their return for the first time in almost two years after a smashing album release in Digital Artifice. Featuring two nights, fans have the opportunity to choose an eclectic lineup featuring Anna Morgan, Criso, and Jen Symmetry, OR an open-to-close rager hosted by the legend PAV4N.
Distinct Motive – ID
Undoubtedly one of the most exciting glow-ups of the year has been Distinct Motive. The Deep Dark & Dangerous mainstay has been smashing the decks for years but has gained serious traction in 2023. Most notably, his latest ‘ID’ (you know the one) could be heard far and wide in venues and at festivals all over the map.
This month, he makes his way back to The Black Box for his SOLD-OUT headlining performance featuring Die By The Sword, another name dubstep fans should keep a close eye on! And for fans of Distinct Motive and Ternion Sound, EPOCH is a must-see.
EPOCH returns from New Zealand December 5 for a smashing Electronic Tuesday with Copycatt of Australia rounding out the famed weekly series on December 12! Accompanied by DJ Battle winners and eclectic local producers, attendees will get an opportunity to explore new talent as well!
Closing out the year are Denver favorites all:Lo Collective for an open-to-close tribute to hip hop, and none other than The Widdler to ring in the new year in proper Black Box fashion. Tickets are flying for all of these events, make sure to grab yours ASAP!
