We’ve got three January SHIFT shows at Cervantes to help you do just that.
Up first on January 11th, we invite you to celebrate the second anniversary of Phonk Around & Find Out. Inspired by 90s Memphis rap, the phonk subgenre has steadily taken the electronic scene by storm.
Although we had originally planned for Belgian producer Yung Vamp to headline the event, due to unforeseen circumstances, BACKWHEN and ESCPE will now be holding it down with extended sets. On support we have Ponsuda., Everyst, Phonk Around & Find Out Residents, plus a very special guest flying to Colorado as we speak.
We keep the momentum going on January 18 with the Observer album release show from Dreamers Delight in the main ballroom.
The Denver-based producer, who recently supported CloZee on her massive Microworlds tour, has been steadily releasing dreamy singles from the new album and we can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us! VibeSquaD, Skysia, and OZI will be there to open and get the vibes going.
On January 25th we celebrate iconic turntablist, DMC World Champion, and Pretty Lights Live Band member Chris Karns’s 45th birthday!
The legendary DJ will be joined by Skratch Bastid, Michal Menert, DJ Chonz, and a secret special guest all playing on 45s for this birthday bash on the Other Side.
