Sounds of the Underground: The Black Box March Lineup: Pineapple on Tour, KAHN, Hyroglifics + More!

After a roaring start in January and February, The Black Box is bringing the heat in March! With a healthy blend of overseas heavy hitters, rising stars, and local favorites, there’s something for everyone in the crowd.

Spanning genres and borders continues to be the team’s specialty with artists like Sam Binga, KAHN, Coco Bryce, Josh Teed, & many more gracing the stage. We’re also looking forward to the Sub.mission x Sonic Bloom DJ Competition for a spot at their stage takeover in June!

Home of the Underground

Kicking off the month in style, FIGURE returns to Denver for a throwback set diving deep into his catalog from the last decade and more. In the lounge, Denver’s finest DJs will be battling it out for a massive opportunity to perform at Sonic Bloom opening the Sub.mission takeover.

Dubstep continues to make its impact drawing fans to explore across the pond for a more traditional sound. Since its inception, The Black Box has been the home away from home for artists across the globe to bring their roots to the US.

After ending 2022 on a high note, the Sub.mission team show no signs of slowing down. The month of March brings an absolutely stacked cast of overseas talent including KAHN, Widow, Hypho, and Hebbe rounding out the calendar.

One of our favorite stops of the month features the Pineapple Records crew, with Addison Groove, Sam Binga, and Sir Hiss on the decks for a triple header that will surely set the dancefloor ablaze. Make sure to arrive early to catch local support Tekkerz as well!

Drumroll, Please

For those who can’t get enough, we recommend Coco Bryce on March 11 with the Recon DNB crew and Hyroglifics returning March 14. Hailing all the way from the Netherlands, Coco Bryce is at the forefront of the new wave of Jungle and breakbeat, emphasizing a minimal approach.

Joining us at the midway point of the month is Hyroglifics for an Electronic Tuesday that can’t be missed. As a staple in the Drum & Bass community, Hyroglifics has garnered support through Critical Music, 1985, Hospital Records, and more.

For those looking to be surrounded by raw, passionate fans, the Electronic Tuesdays series is for you. Paired with some of the biggest talents on the circuit, local DJs and producers are given the opportunity to perform as support through a series of DJ Battles starting in The Lounge.

As Dubstep, Jungle, and Drum & Bass continue to surge into the limelight, Sub.mission stays a constant in their focus bringing pioneers and fresh blood that represent the genres in their truest forms.

Even still, the team has more to offer with downtempo, experimental, and nearly everything in between. For those looking to step into the production world, Sunday School presents a unique opportunity to learn from members of the community, with two dates this month!

Looking to attend but are in a tough spot? We’ve got you covered! Keep your eyes peeled on the River Beats Colorado Instagram for potential giveaways. For a full breakdown of the March calendar, look no further. Tickets are available NOW at The Black Box website.
